Extra Virgin Olive Oil Soaps...

Olive oil soaps (also known as Castile soap) appear to have originated in the Kingdom of Castile around the 16th century, where it was made from olive oil only. Hence the name Castille, or Marseilles soap. (They all mean the same thing) Pure 100% olive oil soap. It is the mildest and most moisturising of all soaps. It has been produced in the olive growing areas of Europe for centuries.

Tradition says that modern day Castile soaps are very similar to, and most likely derived from, 'white soap' that has traditionally been manufactured in Northern Italy since the early 1600s. From Venice, where the oldest white soap factories were established, olive oil based soap then reached the Greek islands of Crete and later arrived in the South of France.

The extraordinary sense of balance and nurturing delivered to the skin by pure Extra Virgin Olive Oil soap is fantastically refreshing.
